Updated on

Create Channel from Sidekick
  1. Open the Sidekick Browser Extension
  2. Click your Profile Initial > Create channel
  1. Select Channels under Content
  2. Click Create Channel
  3. Add Channel Details
    1. Enter Channel Name (make it descriptive)
      • e.g., Hubspot
    2. Add Mapping patterns
      • Make modifications to the channel mapping pattern

        • Mapping patterns are regular expression patterns so you can use .* to match portions of a url.

        • Example: The mapping pattern app\.domain\.tld/.*/import would match on either https://app.domain.tld/q361z/import or https://app.domain.tld/a235q/import.

        • Example: The URL for https://app.hubspot.com/reports-dashboard/120/view/131195 would be app\.hubspot\.com/reports-dashboard/.*/view/.*

    3. Click Create & edit
  4. Add articles from your content library
    1. Click Add article > Add existing article
    2. Select article titles from the dropdown
      • Use the Search feature to narrow results
    3. Save
  5. *Optional* Assign users or groups to the channel
    1. Click Add group
    2. Select applicable groups from dropdown
      • Click above the dropdown box (in the white box) to minimize list
