How to Add a User to a Site Who can Only View a Manual / Chapter / Article

Set up a Site User with Assigned Only permissions

  1. Click Settings
  2. Navigate to Site Permissions
    1. Go to Site Permissions.
    2. Expand your site, then click Permissions.
  3. Click Add user

     

  4. Choose Existing user or Invite new user
    • If you have already added the Site User to the account, then you can select existing user.
    • If you have NOT added the Site User, then click Invite new user and add their email address.
  5. Uncheck Assign this user to a group

    We recommend assigning users to a group so you can manage permissions at a group level; however, if you just want to add an individual user then uncheck Assign this user to a group 

  6. Choose Permission level – Assigned only > Add user

Assign Permission at Content-Level

  1. Click Content
  2. Select the manual, chapter, or article
  3. Click Custom > Add User
  4. Select User > Select Permission > Add user
